One night, while performing a stunt, Johnny is approached by a mysterious figure who offers him a chance to revive his friend's soul. The figure turns out to be Zarathos, a demon who feeds on the souls of the guilty. Zarathos offers Johnny a deal: become bonded to him, and he'll bring Johnny's friend back to life. However, Johnny soon discovers that he's now the host for the Ghost Rider, a supernatural entity with hellish powers.
