For workshops working on late-model vehicles, upgrading to 4.40 is non-negotiable. Older versions (such as 4.36 or 4.38) will not correctly identify or communicate with these new control units.

ISTA 4.40 introduces a more cautious approach to (Vehicle Order and Transformation Layer) execution. When programming multiple ECUs, the software now performs more pre-checks on battery voltage, power supply stability, and CAN bus integrity. If any parameter is out of specification, ISTA 4.40 will abort the flashing process earlier than previous versions.
