PCSX2 1.7.0 nightly refers to the continuous development builds released after the stable 1.6.0 version. These are but represent ongoing work toward the future 2.0 stable.

Do not use PCSX2 1.6.0. It is effectively legacy software at this point. The builds represent years of accumulated improvements, a modern UI, massive performance gains, and features that were once only dreams for PS2 emulation.
