Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge - English may not be the best film in the franchise, but it is far from the worst. It delivers spectacular set-pieces, a genuinely frightening villain in Javier Bardem, and a surprisingly emotional conclusion for Barbossa and the Turner family. For fans who grew up with the original trilogy, seeing Will and Elizabeth reunited—and watching Jack Sparrow, however faded, still outsmart death—is a nostalgic treasure worth plundering.
