Translating roughly to “The Beloved Heads to the In-Laws’ House,” Sajan Chale Sasural is a family-comedy drama that follows the hilarious and often tumultuous journey of a young man, Sajan, as he visits his wealthy or traditional in-laws for the first time after marriage. Unlike typical romantic tales, Part 1 focuses on the cultural clash, the budding bond between the son-in-law and the father-in-law, and the series of comical misunderstandings that ensue.

The sequel, "Sajan Chale Sasural 2024 Part 1," promises to be an exciting and entertaining ride. The movie is directed by Ravi Shankar and produced by K. S. R. Das. The film features a new cast, including popular actors like Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, and Arjun Bijlani. The story is expected to pick up where the original left off, with Rajesh's (Varun Dhawan) son, Karan, embarking on a journey to find his father's long-lost love, Pooja.

The story opens in a vibrant village setting where Sajan (played by a charismatic lead) is a simple, fun-loving man who accidentally lands into a marriage with a girl from a strict, high-class family. The first half of Part 1 revolves around Sajan’s preparation to enter the sasural (in-laws’ house). He is coached by his quirky friends on how to behave, what to eat, and how to impress the dreaded mother-in-law.
