Syf 2019 Chinese Orchestra Results

Several elite secondary schools that had never received less than Gold since 2005 slipped to in 2019. The feedback from judges (leaked via internal instructor memos) suggested that these orchestras played too "robotically." Their tempos were metronomically perfect, but the judges wanted rubato (flexible tempo) and folkloric ornamentation that were missing.
