The story begins in 2029, where resistance leader (Jason Clarke) launches a final offensive against Skynet. To secure the future, he sends his trusted lieutenant Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect his mother, Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke).
