The use of the possessive apostrophe-s is deceptively simple. The misfortune does not belong to the world, to a rival, or to a chaotic deity—it belongs to Yukko. By framing the event as hers , FreddyKun transforms an external accident into an internal attribute. Misfortune ceases to be an event that happens to her and becomes an essence that defines her, at least for the duration of the diegesis. This linguistic move echoes existentialist thought: for a single day, Yukko is her unluckiness.
